Ingredients
- 100g oats
- 50g vanilla protein powder (whey or soy)
- 1 L unsweetened skim milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1kg apples
- 5g cinnamon powder
- 80g zero-calorie sweetener (erythritol or xylitol)
- 2g salt
If you want a filling, healthy, and delicious dessert with autumn and winter vibes, this one is perfect for you. You can also replace the whey protein with soy protein to make it completely vegan. Not to mention, it’s cheap and easy to make. Honestly, it takes longer to wash and slice the apples than to actually cook it.
This recipe serves the whole family and beats most store-bought sweets. If you find it too sweet—or not sweet enough—adjust the sweetener to taste.
Instructions
- 1.Mix the oats with the protein, salt, 50g sweetener, and the milk.
- 2.Simmer for a few minutes until thickened (I used the “Oatmeal” program on a pressure cooker, 3 minutes).
- 3.Wash the apples, cut them into small pieces, and mix with cinnamon and the remaining sweetener.
- 4.Line a pan with parchment paper and add the apples.
- 5.Preheat the oven to 100°C and bake for 17 minutes (I used the “Vegetables” program in the pressure cooker).
- 6.Let everything cool, then spoon the apples over the oatmeal.
- 7.Enjoy!
